Dedicated to Jerzy Wójcik
It's been 25 years since Jerzy Wójcik has joined the band in Heaven, but he did leave something behind: the recordings of his band Little Ole Opry from 1980. The unique material has circulated among Bluegrass fans until, through Krystyna Święcicka - Wójcik, it reached the hands of Łukasz Wiśniewski, leader of Kraków Street Band. The band was happy to accept the offer of recording an album, striving not only to honor the memory of Jerzy Wójcik, but also to show the phenomenon of Little Ole Opry to a wider audience. The musicians, along with featured guests, prepared new arrangments of the songs played by Little Ole Opry on the old record and on concerts. Both albums have a common denominator in the old banjo, which used to belong to Jerzy Wójcik, and 35 years later, it's alive again in the hands of Piotr Grząslewicz...
